Deborah De La Flor is without question, one of the best ambassadors for the floral industry. Her passion & enthusiasm are second to none, and her ability to connect with others about the flowers that she loves so much, is unmatched.

In 1981 Deborah found her passion for flowers at Dolly's Florist in Miami, and hasn't looked back. That passion has since taken her around the world sharing her love for the industry through design presentations, seminars, competitions & commentary.

In 1983 Deborah was named the Greater Miami Designer of the Year & Florida State Designer of the Year. The awards and accolades that have followed are too numerous to mention, and in 1996 she was inducted into the American Institute Of Floral Design.

2000 was a good year for Deborah, as she was awarded first Runner-Up at FTD's Americas Cup Final in Atlanta, and she won the FTD First Annual Great Masters Design Competition. More recently, Deborah was chosen to represent the United States in the Interflora World Cup of Floral Design in Melbourne Australia in September 2004. Deborah has also been inducted into the Professional Floral Communicators International (PFCI) in September 2006.

Since 1986, Deborah and her husband Gus have owned De La Flor Gardens in Cooper City, FL and in 2006 opened a second location in Southwest Ranches to house their landscape nursery. Deborah has published a book on corsage & boutonniere design - titled - Florsages and produced a video on wedding bouquets.

Her knowledge of the industry as well as her ability to anticipate (and influence) the latest floral trends has led to consulting work for some of the floral industry's biggest names such as, Syndicate Sales, Dole Fresh Flowers, Vista Flor, Grower Direct Fresh Cut Flowers, Inc. and many others.

As a speaker, Deborah's passion for flowers and the industry is contagious. Her knowledge and talent, paired with her energy and down to earth manner allow her to captivate every member of her audience.
